N-EMU v0.9.13 update

The Mega Drive picture that never appeared

Opening a Mega Drive game on Android showed an error instead of a picture. The screen size had been written down smaller than it really is.

Dates show when changes were integrated into the app. These versions are pre-release development records.

Integrated

  1. The Mega Drive picture size

    Android

Opening a Mega Drive game on Android showed only "Native engine error 7" and never a single frame of picture. The app had the screen recorded as sixteen lines shorter than it really is, leaving nowhere to put the picture. The size is corrected, so games play, and the picture now has the machine’s own 4:3 shape.

    A number written down wrong

Mega Drive games would not run at all on Android. One number — a screen height recorded sixteen lines shorter than it really is — was the cause, and several layers of checks missed it for months.
