What Nemu is

Nemu is an emulator for handheld and console game systems. It runs game files that you provide. It is made by an individual developer, not a company.

What you provide

Nemu ships with no games and downloads none. It has no catalogue, no store, and no way to fetch a game file. Everything it runs is a file you imported yourself.

You are responsible for having the right to use the files you import. Nemu takes no position on where yours came from and cannot tell.

What Nemu does not do

• · It does not create an account, and there is nothing to sign up for.
• · It does not charge for the emulation. Where a supporter purchase exists, it is a way to support the developer and unlocks nothing that changes what the app can run.
• · It sends nothing anywhere except save data to a cloud account you connect yourself, on an explicit action. The privacy page describes that in full.

No warranty

Nemu is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Emulation is approximate: a game may run incorrectly, a save may be lost, and a save state written by one version may not load in another. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.

To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from using the app, including lost save data.

The source

Nemu's own source is offered under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later. The emulator cores it builds on carry their own licences, which the app lists in Settings and which travel with the source.

Changes

This file is versioned with the source. Its history is the change log.
