N-EMU v0.4.2 early development

Slot management and imports

Name, note, lock and reorder save slots. Move only the saves you need, and undo an overwritten save.

Timeline dates and periods were reassigned to spread out the development history. They are not the dates changes were integrated into the app. These are pre-release development records. 0.1.0–0.8.3 are numbers assigned retrospectively to stages of early development. The app used version 0.1.0 throughout that period.

  1. Import games from other apps

    iOS

Choose N-EMU when opening a file to import the game.

  2. Transfer only the saves you need

Choose the game, save-data type and slots to back up or download.

  3. Download a state into an empty slot

Download into an empty slot without overwriting an existing state on the device.

  4. Undo a Drive restore

Existing device data is kept before being overwritten by a Drive download. You can undo an incorrect restore immediately afterward.

  5. Preview save states

  6. Slot names and notes

Name slots and add notes about the scene so you can find them again.

  7. Lock important slots

Lock slots you want to keep to prevent accidental overwrites.

  8. Undo a save overwrite

Restore the previous save in a slot you just overwrote.

  9. Organize save slots

Copy or move states between slots, or swap the contents of two slots.

  10. Autosaves from earlier moments

Keep earlier autosave records in addition to the autosave slot.

  11. Export a single save state

Export a chosen state as a file and import it into a compatible game.
