Keep save data as files

Export saves for safekeeping or move them to another device without connecting Google Drive.

Pre-release development record

Moving saves does not have to involve the cloud. Export lets you keep a game's save data as a file or pass it to another device.

Exporting save data from game information bundles in-game saves and save states into one file. You choose where to keep it and how to send it. Game files are not included, so the receiving device needs the same game file.

Import checks the game and save format, and the core version for save states. If existing save data would be overwritten, you see what will change and are asked whether to continue.

For games with separate save profiles, only the currently selected profile is exported or imported. Data from other profiles is not transferred with it.
