Settings you can understand before changing them

In 1.7.0, settings names, scope and navigation were revised together. Korean explanations and guides now follow the actual behaviour.

Closed beta testing

Settings had four categories in 1.6.0, but their contents were hard to see before opening them. In 1.7.0, each category lists its pages. Display and display effects share a page; Sound details became Sound, starting with volume.

Choosing a system used to lead to another step before its button editor. Now it opens assignments directly. Connected controllers and menu confirmation sit on the same page, with input testing at the top. Controller-model overrides remain under Advanced at the bottom of the system editor.

A setting also needs to show how far it applies. Pause-menu settings are grouped by this game, its system, all games and controllers. Default is explained as inheriting the app or system setting; individual games may still have overrides. Summaries show changed buttons and display settings.

Explanations were checked against the screens. Korean labels now describe linear filtering as smooth scaling and run-ahead as reducing input lag. The preview explanation names only the two settings it actually shows: scaling and smooth scaling. Guides follow the new button names and paths. Korean quick-save, quick-load and save-slot terms are retained.

The library also gains sorting and folder imports. Offline backup lets you include favorites, titles, notes, covers, play history and groups. Choose what to merge before restoring; ROMs are excluded. Because these backups require 1.7.0 or later, that compatibility note sits immediately below the option.
