Open a game where you left off
With auto-resume enabled, opening a game loads its autosave. You can choose a different startup behavior for each game.
Pre-release development recordFor a quick game, hunting through a menu for a save state every time is a hassle. Auto-resume lets a selected game start where you left off.
Auto-resume uses the app's autosave, not your selected quick-save slot. If no usable autosave exists, the game starts without this step.
Turn auto-resume off for games whose title screen you want to see. Set an app-wide default and override only the games that need it.
After an unexpected app exit, you are asked before resuming from the autosave. An autosave that conflicts with current in-game data is not loaded immediately either. This check helps avoid reverting to an old state after changing save data separately.
