Choosing appearance inside the app
An email request led to appearance choices. Pick Light or Dark independently of the device and switch directly from the library.
A reader emailed to ask for a way to change the theme inside the app. Version 1.11.0 adds Device setting, Light and Dark. It follows the device by default; choose Dark to keep the previous look.
Light uses black text on a grey background, recalling old PC terminal programs and Windows 95 dialogs to fit the app's retro design. Cartridges and in-game touch controls stay dark in every mode. The menus can be light while the hardware-like shapes keep their familiar look.
The library's top button saves opening Settings each time. It opens the three choices and checks the selected item. A half-filled circle means Device setting, the sun means Light, and the moon means Dark. The same choice is under Settings > App and help > Accessibility > Appearance.
