N-EMU v1.0.8 update
A bigger picture with a controller connected
When a controller or keyboard connection hides the touch buttons, the game uses more screen space. With the Nintendo DS landscape layout set to Automatic, the two screens also rearrange according to whether touch buttons are visible.
Dates show when changes were integrated into the app. These versions are pre-release development records.
Integrated
A larger game view when touch buttons are hidden
When a controller or keyboard connection hides the touch buttons, the game can use the space they occupied. It gains room at the sides in landscape and below in portrait, excluding the notch and home-indicator areas. When disconnecting restores the buttons, the game returns to its previous size. Available on Android and iOS.
Bottom spacing for the Nintendo DS portrait view
In portrait with a controller connected and touch buttons hidden, choose whether the Nintendo DS view fills the space down to the bottom or leaves a margin. Try leaving a margin if you hold the device low. This option is under Nintendo DS in Settings on Android and iOS.
Automatic as the default Nintendo DS landscape arrangement
In Automatic landscape layout, the Nintendo DS screens are stacked while touch buttons are visible and placed side by side when they are hidden. Layout measurements on phones and tablets guided the choice of the larger game view for each control method. Explicit stacked or side-by-side choices are preserved. Available on Android and iOS.
