Reduce repeated work on paused screens

A still picture can keep the renderer busy. Version 1.2.0 distinguishes when another draw is needed and lets you try settings before saving.

Closed beta testing

Pausing a game holds the picture, but drawing may continue. In 1.2.0, a paused screen redraws when a new picture or display setting arrives. iOS also keeps the next frame from overwriting a picture the GPU is still reading.

The library also reuses prepared search text instead of rebuilding it for every query. Storage scans stop after you leave their screen. Cover caches are released in the background or under memory pressure and loaded again when needed.

Display and touch-calibration changes can be tried without opening a game, then applied by saving. Canceling or going back keeps the original settings. Exploring a preview no longer needs to change the settings used for play.

Less repeated work does not establish how much longer a battery lasts. Comparisons need the same physical device, game, and thermal conditions. This update prepares measurement in optimized development builds; real-device speed, heat, and battery comparisons remain open.
